Q: What is the Co-op Shop?
A: The Mom Entrepreneur Co-op Shop is a gateway to unique products and valuable services for a mom's business and personal life. The Co-op Shop was founded in January 2009 as a collaborative project by members of The Mom Entrepreneur Support Group.

The goal of the Co-op Shop is to offer mom entrepreneurs and others an affordable way to advertise their unique products and services to a large group of shoppers. Q: How is the Co-op Shop different from other marketplaces targeted at moms?
A: The success of the Co-op Shop is largely due to the 15,000+ network of moms and mom entrepreneurs our parent company, The Mom Entrepreneur, is connected with. We reach out to our target market in many ways, including our websites, blog and social profiles on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Our brand has gained the trust and respect that it deserves by providing reliable resources, tips and advice for women balancing motherhood and running a company.

In addition, the Co-op Shop is not a static marketplace. It is aggressively marketed and is always changing to offer new options and promotions to both members and shoppers.

Shoppers are also given easy access to members through the "Contact Member" link in each listing. They are invited to share a member's listing with their favorite social networks, recommend to a friend, rate a listing and submit a review.

Q: How is the Co-op Shop marketed and promoted?
A: The Co-op Shop is promoted throughout the year on all of The Mom Entrepreneur's websites and social networks to over 15,000+ moms. We also contract with a professional Search Engine Marketing expert to keep our site optimized and ranking high in search engines.

In addition, we promote the Co-op Shop in the following ways:

Q: Who can become a member of the Co-op Shop?
A: Membership is open to companies and organizations that target moms with their products and services. Members of The Mom Entrepreneur Online Support Group are given first priority for featured space.

Q: When do you accept new members for the Co-op Shop?
A: New members are welcome to join at anytime. Just visit our Join the Co-op Shop page for a listing of all packages available.

Q: Do you allow representatives from the same company to have multiple listings?
A: There are several companies that have many representatives such as Send Out Cards, Avon, Scentsy, Mary Kay, etc. We do not allow more then one representative per company to advertise unless they have completely separate territories (i.e. U.S. and Canada) and both are comfortable with the other advertising at the same time.

Q: How can I get the most out of my listing in the Co-op Shop?
A: The Co-op Shop offers many different Add On Packages for enhancing your listing. You can learn more about these Add Ons and purchase on our Join the Co-op Shop page.

In addition, our site has a rating and review system for member's listings. The higher your rating and the more reviews you receive from visitors, the higher you will place in our "What's Popular" listing. This system is similar to Amazon.com. Ask your friends, employees, peers, etc. to visit your page and rate your listing and write reviews to increase your chances of being found quickly on the site.  

Q: What do I get with membership in the Co-op Shop?
A: Your membership entitles you to one of three listings: BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD. A detailed description of each can be found on our Join the Co-op Shop page. Pick the listing that best fits your budget.

Members also benefit from the many promotional activities that happen throughout the year to promote the Co-op Shop. In addition, members have the chance to participate in fun seasonal promotions like our Stocking Stuff List and our Easter Basket List, which are featured on the home page, at no additional charge.   

Q: I noticed members of The Mom Entrepreneur Support Group receive lower ad rates. How do I join the Support Group?
